The Alabama Railpark Project

Old Alabama Rails is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation dedicated to preserving the site and memory of the Western Railway of Alabama as well as the stories of all railroads that served Central Alabama. Its Board and members work tirelessly to achieve this goal through a program of community education, fund-raising and collaborative efforts with a number of cultural, social and commercial organizations sharing an interest in Montgomery history and tourism.

Conclusion

OAR is poised to take the next steps in acquiring and developing a Master Plan for the WofA site. To that end, the organization is actively seeking financial support from both public and private sector investors/benefactors.
